Diffractive Managers Group is a private asset management multi-affiliate holding company headquartered in Boston, MA.
To meet regulatory requirements, the client asked Dewpoint to migrate their existing data from Dropbox to Microsoft SharePoint following an aggressive timeline.
The primary focus of this project was to transition existing files from Dropbox to SharePoint so that the client could meet regulatory requirements for an upcoming audit.
Typical project challenges such as training end users on SharePoint, transferring file permissions with the new file locations, and managing impact to end users were secondary to our primary goal of ensuring the client met regulatory requirements for their upcoming audit.
The client engaged Dewpoint to support this work in August 2023. After finalizing requirements with the client, the initial transition of files to SharePoint was completed in October 2023, in time for the client’s regulatory audit.
Although they were secondary priorities, Dewpoint took time to update file permissions and provide introductory training to the end users on using SharePoint.
Complete SharePoint clean-up and restructuring will be delivered during phase two of the project.
